Burnout is treatable: Reality or Myth

Have you ever heard the word burnout in your life? Yes, it is the most common problem from the past several years. The count is such people is increasing just like anything. There are several websites which offer information regarding the burnout, but some websites give the complex information with which people get confused. But, here, I will give the basic but important information about the burnout.

In simple words, burnout is considered as the state of exhaustion. Due to excessive and prolonged stress, this problem results in. This problem commonly occurs when a person continuously feels overwhelmed by the increasing demands of work at the workplace. When the person is not able to perform the work and meet the demands of the boss results in burnout.

Symptoms of Burnout: Though there are several symptoms of burnout but here, I will tell you the most common symptoms of burnout which are weight loss, anxiety and sometimes anxiety attacks, insomnia, weight gain, irritability and the feeling of helplessness. The symptoms of the person vary from person to person. In one person, these symptoms can be quite simple but in some people, it can be so intense. This condition is most commonly caused by excessive and prolonged stress.

Though burnout is highly prevalent in most of the people but nowadays, it is most commonly observed in the people from the healthcare professionals. Most probably, it can be due to the demanding workloads, long hours of work and the constant pressure of workload. Not only burnout affects the person’s well-being, but also it affects the personal relationships of the person. Burnout also results in the accelerated aging because stress has a direct connection with the ageing.

Burnout can make the patient feel resentful, sarcastic, restless, cynical and all are related to the accelerated aging. Though people don’t want to take the medication for this problem but here, I am presenting the methods by which you can treat the problem.

Give up Unrealistic expectations and Stay positive!: We deal with the people who are depressed, emotional or mentally disturbed especially if you are in a medical profession. Though it is a good console and counsels the patients but never get the things in your heart.

Exercise Regularly: Though there are several ways by which you can feel relieved but still, the best way to eliminate bit out is exercise. Start doing the daily exercise, meditation and yoga. You can choose whatever you feel like. But, you can start it for eliminating the burnout.
