Chinese brewing year is according to the lunar or Chinese lunar calendar. As the name suggests, the lunar calendar follows the phases or cycles of the moon. As per the Chinese calendar, their new year falls in late January or mid-February. The Chinese population welcomes their New Year with a spring festival with great enthusiasm. The celebration goes on for several days. Also, they celebrate lantern festivals during these days, where they spread burning lanterns in the air, and the sky is lit with lights.
