Definition of Different Kinds of Beddings

  1. Bolster pillow

This kind of pillow is tubular pillow that is used as lumbar support if you want to read while sitting on the bed. More often, it is used for decoration purpose.

It is used for covering sleeping pillow and normally in rectangular in shape and you can insert pillow from one end and either button or zip it. Basically, meant for protecting the pillow.

Little smaller than normal blanket and mainly used for adding extra warmth to bed’s foot or you can wrap around your shoulders.

  1. Mattress pad

It is also called as mattress topper or sometimes as under pad. A layer of padding will be used above your mattress and also beneath bottom sheet for adding comfort.

  1. Featherbed

This is a layer of padding which is used just above the mattress as mattress topper. This feather bed will usually have elastic straps/a fitted sheet, so that it will fit over the mattress and will stay in place.
