Kvass is a drink which was brought into China by the Russians. This is amber in color and is sweet. This usually is found plentiful in Harbin and in Xinjiang. Very often one comes across Kvass which is flavored with raisins, mint, herbs or strawberry. This is made with black bread or rye and it has an extremely low alcoholic content of about 1%. In taste, this is comparable to Shandy but it has a thicker texture than it.
