When you have gained readers, advertising is a go to for bloggers to start making money. We see advertising everywhere, whether it be on tv or in magazines. A primary way that companies now advertise is via the internet and you can benefit directly from that. It will help you and the company you are advertising for, having a link or image that is accessible via your blog is a must. Every time a reader clicks on the link or image they will be directed to that company’s website and every time that happens you will be paid a fee. This is known as pay per click (ppc), PPC management is a great way to start making an income and will not affect your blog in the slightest.
Merchandise
When you start to gain more of a following, you will feel a sense of achievement simply because people want to read your blog. This may be satisfying but you can also capitalise on this by starting to sell merchandise to your followers. It can be t-shirts, mugs or whatever you think will be a must buy for your readers. This will create work for you when it comes to post and packaging but you will start to notice the difference when your profits increase. Whilst merchandise helps financially, in some respects it’s also a way of advertising your blog by exposing your blogs name to others.

A lot of people aren’t aware of affiliate income but it is a great way of creating an income from your blog. What is it? Affiliate income is a direct link to products on shopping sites such as Amazon or Ebay that allows you to become a bit like a salesman as if that product is purchased you will earn commission of that sale. Like advertising this is a great way to start when you gain an interest of using your blog to create income.
Monthly Payments
As your blog grows, there will be more demand for your content. When there is demand, there is a chance to make money. When people want your content, they will pay to have access to it. You can start a sort of monthly subscription that will give readers access to bonus or regular content depending on which way you want to go with it. Look at your blog as a magazine for example, people subscribe each month to get access to that magazine and if people like your content they will do the same.
