Three Common Complaints That Car Owners Have

When you have a family, a car becomes a necessity, not just an option. When it comes to going somewhere far, having your own car saves you a lot of money. However, owning a car has its responsibilities. Unfortunately, not all car owners are able to fulfill these responsibilities. When you don’t take care of your well, the result is a car standing in the garage unattended and ending up as junk. It won’t be wrong to say that the most common complaints from car owners are a result of their own negligence. Let’s take a look at the three most common car owner complaints and why they are their own faults.

The Three Complaints Most Car Owners Have

High Fuel Consumption

They are always complaining about how their car is consuming more fuel than it should. If it was a problem from the car makers, you won’t be the only one having this problem. In fact, the car maker might be facing a class action lawsuit before you know it. In many cases, you are not taking care of the oil change. As a car owner, it is your responsibility to have a timely oil change. If you don’t do that, the parts of your car start grinding under the action of friction. Your car becomes less efficient with time and it uses more fuel than required because it has to put in more power to move.

AC Not Working Properly

There can be many things leading to heat in your car. First, you have an old air conditioner and you have not gotten it fixed for many years. Secondly, you are not paying attention to changing the AC filter. Your car’s AC filter should be changed at least once every year. If you don’t do that, the AC will not work properly. In addition to that, you can use shades on your car windows. Make sure you are using only the shades that you legally can. Furthermore, open the doors and let the heat come out before getting into a car after it has been standing for hours on a hot day.

The Weird Sounds

This one is funny but also the most common one. Whenever you ride with a friend, you will see him/her listening to weird noises coming from different parts of the car. These noises can be serious or non-serious in nature. Sometimes, it is the belt and at other times, it is the tire touching the mudguard. It could be hundred different things that can cause the noise. The thing is, you should take your car to a mechanic for a checkup at least once every one or two months. This ensures any existing or upcoming faults are taken care of before they get worse.

Bottom Line

A car is meant to provide you with a comfortable way of journeying from point A to point B. however, when you don’t take care of your machine, it can be the biggest trouble in your life. Take care of the basics and you might just be the happiest car owner in town.
